One interesting aspect of the games is it's advertising. Most of the time, specially with old games with low resolution, what you saw in advertisements would not match what you had in the final product. I have found a couple of graphic advertisements and a couple of videos for A Bridge Too far.

In the graphic advertisement, Microsoft has taken an humorous approach to Market-Garden with statements like "Follow in the footsteps of history. Unless of course you want to win". A to do list including "smell tulips, admire windmills and secure bridgeheads". The figure of Montgomery is also prominent, in the second advertisement he is teasing us to try and best his historical "score" for the campaign. Images from the game are mixed with historical maps and pictures of Market-Garden, except for the big one, thats from the Pacific.

As for the video advertisements, Microsoft took a more serious approach. Looks like A Bridge Too Far and The Russian Front where the only ones to get this kind of videos. I don't know if they where advertised on TV or just bundled with some Demo CDs for distribution.
